Becky

Hospital Coordinator

Becky has been the hospital coordinator at Capital Veterinary Specialists since the Fall of 2017. She has 20+ years of experience working in veterinary practice management and has an MBA from Brenau University. She's been an adjunct instructor in the Veterinary Technician program at FAMU for many years. She and her husband Bob have three cats, Mr. Magoo, Herbie and Jellicle and three dogs, Kamira, Roki and a 3- legged Pomeranian, Petula. She enjoys sailing, watching football and spending time with her family.

Nell

Administrative Director

Nell has been working in Capital Veterinary Specialists management since 2012. She lives in Bainbridge, GA with her yorkie Tori. She enjoys cooking, gardening, fishing, hunting, and spending time with family.

Crystal

Receptionist

Crystal joined Capital Veterinary Specialists in the summer of 2021. She's originally from Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. Her past times include spending time with her two dogs, reading and cooking.

Katie

Receptionist

Katie was raised in Tallahassee, graduated from SAIL high school and then attended Tallahassee Community Colleges nursing program. She's an avid juggler and also enjoys swimming, wood burning and hiking. She enjoys spending her free time with her fiancé and son. Her 4-legged family includes 2 dogs, Jax (American bulldog) and Lilly (mixed breed), 2 cats, Alfredo and Shadow and a bearded dragon named Galaxy.

Laura

Receptionist

Laura is originally from Columbia, Missouri and was raised in Cape Coral, Florida. She has worked in the veterinary industry for over 40 years. Laura comes from a family with multiple DVMs in it. Laura graduated from FSU with a BS in math and science. She also graduated from St. Petersburg College’s certified veterinary technology program. Her and her husband Shane share their home with 3 dogs and a cat. In her spare time, she enjoys fishing, boating, travel, antiquing and spending time with family.

Sylvia

Receptionist

Sylvia joined our reception team in the Spring of 2021. She is originally from Charlotte, North Carolina. Her education includes a music education major and a sacred music minor. She has 3 daughters and 3 granddaughters. She shares her home with both cats and dogs. Her hobbies include buying and selling mid-century modern furnishings.

Tara

Receptionist

Tara grew up in Washington State and moved to Tallahassee with her husband Mike. She loves camping, hiking and backpacking, usually with her dog Midas tagging along. They also have three cats, Semper, Crookshanks, and Lana as well as a guinea pig named Gimli.

Ari

Receptionist

Ari joined Capital Veterinary Specialists as a receptionist in early 2023. She’s originally from Orlando and came to Tallahassee for school. She has a dog named Jax and enjoys reading and sewing in her spare time.

Kate

Receptionist

Kate is a Tallahassee native and joined the CVS reception team in the summer of 2023. Kate has a chihuahua named Peach and in her spare time enjoys sewing, painting, kayaking and playing tennis.

Roxanna

Receptionist

Roxanna is originally from St. Augustine, Florida and relocated to Tallahassee in the spring of 2024. She enjoys fishing, boating and spending time at the beach when she’s not working.

Lorin

Receptionist

Lorin joined CVS in the summer of 2024. She’s a Valdosta native and is married with two sons. In her spare time she enjoys reading, traveling and spending time with her family.

Lila

Receptionist

Lila joined CVS in early 2025. She’s a Tallahassee native and has a cat named Pepper. She’s been an avid horse back rider for over 10 years.

Keri

Specialty Nurse - Surgery

Keri has a degree from Florida State in Biology. She has worked as a veterinary technician since 2011, and is part of our surgery team. She grew up in Palm Harbor, Florida before coming to Tallahassee. She's enjoys hiking the many trails in Tallahassee, spending time at the beach, practicing yoga and watching football. (Go Noles!) Keri has 3 dogs, Lena, Noah and Junie.

Cassie

Specialty Nurse - Surgery

Cassie is a Tallahassee native and the proud mom of a bright, bubbly, beautiful daughter - Elliana. Her husband is a Marine who has served our country for 5 years. She shares her happy home with "Doak Campbell", a terrier mix. Cassie is working on her AA in Veterinary Technology. When not studying or at work, she enjoys cooking, the beach and mountains.

Lindsay

Specialty Nurse - Surgery

Lindsay earned her Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology from Southern Regional Technical College in Thomasville. She's originally from Rex, Georgia and joined Capital Veterinary Specialists in June of 2021. She shares her home with 3 dogs, Nola, Diesel & Sophie and 2 cats, Balthazar & Zeus. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband, boating, fishing and reading.

Loretta

Specialty Nurse - Surgery

Loretta is originally from Monticello, FL and joined the CVS team in the Fall of 2024. She’s worked I the vet field for many years. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter and their three pets: Mayhem, Moonshine and Brie.

Ansley

Specialty Nurse - Surgery

Ansley is a Valdosta, GA native and joined the Capital Veterinary Specialists team in the Fall of 2024. She has a son, Nolan, and furry children named Cat, Girl, Frenchie and Stitch. In her spare time, she enjoys gaming, crafting and playing with her son.

Katie

Specialty Nurse - Surgery

Katie was raised in Whigham, Georgia and received her Associate of Applied Science degree from Southern Regional Technical College. Katie is a Licensed Veterinary Technician and a great addition to our Surgery team. She has dogs and horses at home and enjoys fishing, hunting, horseback riding and barrel racing.

Cortnee

Specialty Nurse - Internal Medicine

Cortnee is a California girl, born in Lake Elsinore. She has a Pitbull named Cash and in her spare time, she enjoys hiking, kayaking, and softball. She joined the CVS family in the summer of 2021.

Emilie

Specialty Nurse - Internal Medicine

Emilie was born in Griffin, Georgia and relocated to Tallahassee in March of 2021 with her boyfriend Michael and two step sons. She came to us with 7 years of experience working in general and specialty veterinary practices. She has a dog named Motor and in her free time enjoys collecting houseplants, refinishing furniture, hiking and camping.

Angela

Specialty Nurse - Internal Medicine

Angela is originally from Columbus, Ohio but has been enjoying the Florida sun for the past 25 years. She started in general practice veterinary medicine in 2001 and has experience with wildlife rehabilitation and exotic animal care. Angela has her AA in medical transcribing and has been a great addition to Capital Veterinary Specialists. Her interests in specialty medicine include complex internal medicine and cancer patient therapy. When she is not working hard at CVS, you can find her at home building and painting with her family – husband Joshua, daughter Katie, and son Caden. She cares for her puppy Prada (dachshund) and three cats Mermer, Vespa, and Delilah.

Pamela

Specialty Nurse - Internal Medicine

Pamela knew from a young age that she would work in the veterinary field. She has worked in small animal general practice for 10 years, and became a certified veterinary technician in 2011. Nursing care and post-operative care are two of Pamela’s special interests. She joined our hospital in February 2014. Pamela enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons, traveling, swimming, and reading. She has one bulldog, Joker, and one cat named Chester.

Melanie

Specialty Nurse - Internal Medicine

Melanie was born in Stuttgart Germany and now calls Tallahassee home. She holds an associate's degree in both wholesale/foreign trade and applied sciences. When not working, she spends her time relaxing with her dogs, cats, horses, chickens, and pig.

Gabi

Specialty Nurse - Internal Medicine

Gabi is originally from Mobile, Alabama and relocated to Tallahassee in the spring of 2024. She has her Associates degree in Veterinary Technology and comes to CVS with many years of experience. She has a cat and two dogs at home and enjoys reading, traveling and photography in her spare time.

Megan

Specialty Nurse - Urgent Care

Megan was born and raised in Tallahassee Florida but graduated from the Veterinary Technology program at Southern Regional Technical College in Thomasville Georgia. She became a registered Veterinary Technician in August of 2016 and has special interest in critical care and anesthesia. She has three dogs, Clover (a jack Russell), Grissom( a pug) and Heist( a lab mix), and a cat named Taylor Ray. She enjoys spending time doing anything outdoors, arts and crafts, and with family.

Ashlyn

Specialty Nurse - Urgent Care

Ashlyn is a native of Milton, Florida and joined CVS in the summer of 2024. When not working, she enjoys reading, crocheting and spending time with her 4-legged friends, Sink Valentine, Grayson and Peggy.

Susan

Specialty Nurse - Urgent Care

Susan joined CVS in the summer of 2020 and has several years of veterinary nursing experience. Her outside interests include painting and hiking. She has 2 large dogs - Sampson, a Great Dane and Delilah, a German Shephard.

Nick

Specialty Nurse - Urgent Care

Nick is originally from St. Louis, Missouri, and graduated in 2016 with an Associates' degree in Veterinary Technology. He joined Capital Veterinary Specialists in the summer of 2021. When he's not working, he spends time with pets, Severus, Lily, Jake & Cooper, working in the yard and enjoying the great outdoors.

Justin

Specialty Nurse - Urgent Care

Justin joined Capital Veterinary Specialists in the Fall of 2023. He has a BS in biological sciences from Florida State University and years of experience in veterinary medicine and wildlife rescue. He’s originally from Grand Ridge, Florida and enjoys hiking, exercising, outdoor activities, basketball, video games and socializing with friends. He has a dog named Miley and a cat named Arya.

Natianna

Specialty Nurse - ICU

Natianna is originally from Benning Georgia but due to having military parents she has lived in various cities, states and countries. She is currently enrolled at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University pursuing Animal Sciences. Natianna is an aspiring veterinarian and currently takes care of her husky, Amira and rabbit Eevee. She enjoys volunteering, spending time with family, friends and pets, as well as seeking new adventures.

Amber

Specialty Nurse - ICU

Amber joined the CVS team in the summer of 2020. She obtained a degree in Mathematics from the University of Hawaii but quickly realized her passion is animals and returned to school to study Veterinary Technology. She has a son named Owen, dogs: Lucy & Teddy, cats: Possum & Puma, and spends her free time reading, swimming, and spending time with family.

Jordan

Specialty Nurse - ICU

Jordan was born and raised in Tallahassee. She graduated from Tallahassee Community College with an AA degree then moved to Jacksonville to attend Sanford Brown College where she graduated with an AS degree. She passed the Veterinary Technician National Exam and became a certified veterinary technician in 2014. She has a dog named Leia who keeps her occupied outside of work.

Nic

Specialty Nurse - ICU

Nic joined CVS in the spring of 2021. He's a native of Tallahassee and the owner of 3 lovable dogs. When not at work, he enjoys fishing, bowling, swimming, music and beatboxing.

Laura

Specialty Nurse - ICU

Laura grew up in Jacksonville and is currently enrolled at Florida State University working on her nursing school pre-requisites. She has AA from Tallahassee Community College and a Bachelor's in Sociology with a minor in Psychology from FSU. She is the proud mom to 2 yorkies, Duncan and Rena. With the very little free time she has, Laura enjoys playing the piano, exercising and spontaneous adventures.

Rebecca

Specialty Nurse - ICU

Rebecca joined our ICU team in December of 2021. She's originally from Wakulla, Florida and plans to pursue a degree in Veterinary Technology. Rebecca has a chocolate lab named Nova and enjoys spending time with her friends when not at work.

Marley

Specialty Nurse - ICU

Marley joined the CVS family in the summer of 2022. She’s originally from Fredericksburg, Virginia, and relocated to Tallahassee with her husband and daughter. She shares her home with a cat, two dogs, and a chicken. When not working, Marley enjoys spending time with her family, crafts, aquariums, and the great outdoors.

Amber

Specialty Nurse - ICU

Amber comes to CVS with many years of veterinary nurse experience. She’s originally from Deltona, FL and is married and has 4 children. Her hobbies include aquariums, going to the beach, fishing, boating and classic cars. She has three cats, Pickles, Chip and Balloo and a 95 pound dog named Jax.

Breanne

Specialty Nurse - ICU

Breanne was born in Tampa, Florida and joins the Capital Veterinary Specialists team in December of 2022. She has over 10 years of veterinary technician experience, a B.S. in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. She shares her home with her husband, 2 daughters, 2 dogs and 3 cats. She loves being a Mom and enjoys crafting, hiking and camping in the mountains.

Ashley

Specialty Nurse - ICU

Ashley has been working in the veterinary field since 2007 and is from Marianna, Florida. She has worked our overnight ICU shift in the past and is now joining us in ICU on the weekends. Ashley will begin nursing school in January of 2024. In her spare time, she enjoys kayaking and crocheting.

Darby

Specialty Nurse - ICU

Darby is a true cat lover – Mortica, Ollie, Klaus, Spicey, Nug and Missy share her home. She’s originally from Tampa, FL and is currently enrolled in the St. Petersburg College veterinary technology program. When not working or studying, she enjoys reading and hiking. Darby joined the CVS team in the Fall of 2023.

Chris

Specialty Nurse - ICU

Chris is a Tallahassee native that joined CVS in the spring of 2024. He has a Lab mix named Jasmine and enjoys playing basketball, horseback riding and playing video games.

Andy

Specialty Nurse - ICU

Andy grew up in Naguabo, Puerto Rico and received his degree as a Veterinary Assistant from University Ana G. Mendec. He has two dogs, Uri and Ruby and enjoys reading and playing video games. Andy joined the CVS team in the Spring of 2024.

Sabrina

Specialty Nurse - ICU

Sabrina joined CVS in 2018. She enjoys living in her hometown of Tallahassee and spends her time off with her husband and a 3 legged golden retriever named Barbossa, a terrier mix named Gigi and her cat named Kitten. She enjoys kayaking, hiking andbinge watching TV. We're proud to have her on our ICU team.

Natalie

Specialty Nurse - ICU

Natalie joined CVS in the winter of 2024. She comes to us with over 6 years of experience working in veterinary medicine, including surgery, ICU and emergency / urgent care. She’s originally from Miami and enjoys hiking, camping and riding horses in her spare time.

Tiffany

Specialty Nurse - ICU

Tiffany joined the CVS team in the spring of 2023 after her career in the military. She recently moved to Florida with her husband, Joe, and 2 sons. Her personal pets include horses, dogs and cats. She enjoys time with her family, activities with the kids and dog obedience training.

Specialty Nurse - ICU

April joined the CVS team in January of 2025. She’s a Tallahassee native and has been working the veterinary field since 2011. She’s a Chihuahua mom to Chibi and Sweetie. Her spare time is spent with her husband and son, reading, gardening, cooking and thrifting.

Heather joined the CVS team in the fall of 2021. She's an Ocala, Florida native and now calls Tallahassee home. When she's not working, she enjoys spending time with her dog and four cats and reading.

Stacey

Specialty Hospital Nurse

Stacey is originally from Miami. She has a bachelor's degree from the University of Alabama and graduated from the veterinary technician program at Southern Regional Technical College. She has a special interest in internal medicine. Her pets include 3 cats: Franklin, Althea and Greta Grace and a dog named Lily. She enjoys traveling with her husband, biking trails and Netflix binge watching.

Emmy

Specialty Nurse Assistant

Emmy grew up in Tallahassee and is currently enrolled in a veterinary technology program. She joined CVS in early 2023. She has a cat name Kala and enjoys playing the ukulele, going to the beach and spending time with friends.

Amber

Specialty Nurse Assistant

Amber was born and raised in Valdosta, Georgia and joined the CVS family in the summer of 2023. In her spare time, she enjoys going to football games, playing guitar, being with friends and spending time with her cat Sylvie.

Sheree

Specialty Nurse Assistant

Sheree joined the CVS team in the Spring of 2025. She has a BA in Animal Science from FAMU, where she was a member of the dance team. Sheree is a Long Island, New York native who now calls Florida home. She lives with her cat, Ash and her turtle, Ziggy.

Jada

Specialty Nurse - ICU

Jada is a Tallahassee native and is currently enrolled in the Penn Foster Veterinary Technology program. She has a dog named Koda and enjoys fishing, outdoor hikes and drawing in her spare time. Jada joined CVS in the summer of 2024.

Kendra

Specialty Nurse Assistant

Kendry joined the CVS team in the winter of 2025. She has an Associate’s Degree in Veterinary Technology and is pursuing a B.S. in Animal Science. Kendra is from Chicago, but now calls Tallahassee home, as a student. In her spare time, she enjoys swimming, reading and watching moves.

Angelica is a Thomasville, GA native and joined the CVS team in January of 2025. She is currently a Veterinary Technology student at Southern Regional Technical College and plans to graduate this Spring.

Hailey

Specialty Nurse Assistant

Hailey joined the CVS team in the Fall of 2024. She’s originally from Stuart, Florida . She has a Guinea pig named Snickers, and a mixed breed dog named Cheyanne. When not studying, her free time is spent going to the beach and snow globe collecting.

Logan

Specialty Nurse Assistant

Logan was raised in Winston Salem, NC. She joined Capital Veterinary Specialists in March of 2025. She has four-legged children at home, Zoey, Ruby, Olsen, June, Charlotte & Buckley. In her spare time, she enjoys going to the beach.

Savannah

Specialty Nurse Assistant

Savannah is originally from Gulf Shores, Alabama. She joined the CVS team in February of 2025. She enjoys reading in her spare time and spending time with her two dogs, Moose and Bo and cat, Spring.

Adrian

Veterinary Nurse Assistant

Adrian joined CVS in the summer of 2024. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences in 2023 and is originally from Tampa. She has two dogs and a cat at home and spends her spare time with her husband. Adrian enjoys making art, crocheting, sewing and gardening.

T’Keyah

Veterinary Nurse Assistant

T’Keyah joined Capital Veterinary Specialists in February of 2025. She’s a native of Perry, Florida and is currently working on her associate’s degree in veterinary technology. She shares her home with her daughter and two cats, Momo and Lewi. Her spare time is spent singing, writing music and playing the piano. T’Keyah was the 2017 Florida State champion of Karaoke competition.

Mikala

Veterinary Nurse Assistant

Mikala is originally from Pinellas County, Florida and received her AA in Animal Science from Tallahassee Community College. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her cats Zeus and Apollo, and diamond painting.

Billy

Specialty Nurse Sterile Supply

Billy grew up in Tallahassee and graduated from North Florida Christian School. He enjoys playing baseball, golf and watching FSU football.

Jacob

Specialty Nurse - Sterile Supply

Jacob joined the CVS family early in 2023. He’s a native of Tallahassee and has four cats and two dogs at home. When he has time off, he enjoys video games, music and football.

Wally

Specialty Nurse - Sterile Supply

Wally was born and raised in Ponce, Puerto Rico and joined CVS in the summer of 2024. He has a Boston Terrier named Layka and enjoys abstract painting and car detailing in his spare time.

Kaitlyn

Specialty Nurse - Sterile Supply

Kaitlyn joined Capital Veterinary Specialists in March of 2025. She’s a Tallahassee native and shares her house with two cats, Oakley and Toshiba. When not working, she enjoys spending time in the pool, soaking up the sun, with her fiancé and children.

Brittney

Brittney is a native of Cocoa Beach, Florida and joined the CVS team in the Fall of 2023. She’s married and has five children. When she’s not working, or caring for her family, she enjoys basketball, reading and walking.

Derek

Derek is a native of Pensacola, Florida, and attended LSU to study nutrition and sports medicine. He has a dog named Dixie and enjoys paddle boarding, golfing, and spending time with his kids.

Melissa

Specialty Nurse - Dermatology

Santa Rosa Beach

Melissa was born and raised in Los Angeles, California and joined the CVS team in November of 2021. She studied Animal Science at California Polytechnic State University, Pomona, and has over 15 years of veterinary experience. Melissa lives with her two dogs, a Chesapeake Bay Retriever named Buddha and desert rat mutt named Zuma. During her time off, she enjoys swimming, hiking, and appreciating the beauty of living along the gulf.
